BUT I CAN’T FIND MY RETAINERS. >:[ I’m positive I brought them home and unpacked them, but I haven’t seen them since. And my bottom teeth are moving!
:)
Today was a most excellent day.
I woke up at half-past the respectable hour of 10 o’clock, and after a bit of lazing and lounging headed to Irvine with the family for sushi. After some delicious raw fish and boba (not together, of course!), I went to the mall with my mom and brother, bought a pair of jeans, and ran into Stephanie Le! It was quite the pleasant surprise.
On the way...
That moment when you're reading a book and you...

lol, i try to make that important in my novels or short stories. :p
So true, haha.
Note: If you don’t want to read incoherent, although perfectly justified angst, don’t read on.
Fuck the world. Excuse my language, but fuck the world.
I don’t get it, and I don’t think I ever will. How can a world so beautiful be so perverse and incomprehensible and cruel and unfair? And how can horrible things happen to genuinely good people?
I’m not just talking...
Where are you, Christmas?
This time last year, Christmas still meant something to me. I even wrote a college admissions essay about it - about the magic of Christmas, of believing, of being a child.
But look at me now. It’s Christmas Eve, and I feel nothing. No joy, no excitement. Just emptiness.
A lot has happened since last Christmas. A lot to make me grow up, faster than I ever hoped to. I’m not innocent...
It's time for a book binge. I just ordered:

– The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon
It's good to be home.
My whole family, sans the pup, showed up at the airport to greet me. We went straight to In-N-Out, where I had a cheeseburger, animal fries, and a Neopolitan shake. So, so, so good. It was pouring rain, and apparently has been for a week. This never happens in California, but it’s okay. :) I found a welcome home balloon when I walked inside, along with my lovely Tenzing. Even though...

I quite like my walrus of a boyfriend for waking up early just to make sure I’m up and about for my final. How snuggly of him!
All children, except one, grow up.

Reading List for Winter Break:
Finish Anna Karenina
Reread A Series of Unfortunate Events <3 Oh, the joys of childhood.
The Kite Runner
Reread Alice in Wonderland and, if I enjoy it (because I don’t remember if I did), Through the Looking Glass
IR, IR, IR. I actually really enjoy readings in the subject, so I should use winter break to become better-versed in my major.

Paul: and i'm excited you'll be here soon
Paul: (though my lower body does not agree)
Please excuse my momentary sappiness,
but my boyfriend makes me really, really happy. After a long day of studying/moping, it felt really good to go out and spend time with him. He took me to sushi and forced me to make five whole decisions (because I’m too indecisive) and we went to Trader Joe’s and came back and snuggled and watched The Office and snuggled some more and he violated my belly button with his finger, which...

I don’t think I’ve ever felt angrier than I did today. Colder, more contemptuous. It was a terrible feeling, and I hope I never experience it again.
Fortunately, it has all but subsided now. It’s been replaced with a feeling of sheer exhaustion - unpleasant, yes, but preferable..
I need to stop. Recharge. Restart. I want to go to sleep and wake up to a blank slate, my tabula...
